This month Kathy Nelson will be presenting some ideas from the ANWG (Association of Northwest Weaving Guilds) workshops on using color and patterns in weaving and other fiber projects.  Members don't need to bring anything, just yourselves.  It will be interesting!

Congratulations to Liz Hubbard on her show at the Museum. I heard it was a good showing of artwork and a good turnout to see it!

Things to think about for the upcoming year....

1.  Someone please be thinking about taking over being the Weaving Guilds of Oregon representative of which there       would be 2 meetings a year to attend.

2.  Please start thinking about whether you could take over the presidency of the Guild next year and lead the meetings and do organizational details for the Guild.

3.  Topics that members would like to cover this year.  Could you/ would you host a meeting?

(Since I cannot attend the meeting, an idea that I want to present is to have a few "progressive"  project meetings.

We could have 3 meetings of this kind.  One would be out here touring the Chiloquin area members homes, one could be out in the Bonanza area and one could be in the Klamath Falls area.  We would either make it a "project where we would get fiber at one place, work it partly at the next place, card....  then spin at the next place and then snack at the last place....? It would take all day.

Something like that, where we could see where each other live and work? Or it could be a progressive lunch, instead of the fiber theme?   Just an idea....I volunteer to organize the Chiloquin/Sprague River area tour.)

4.  Our project hour, should we continue this?  Are there enough members interested?

5.  Should the Guild have another library day in the spring?

6.  Should the Guild have a show in the Chiloquin Art Center?

7.  The 2021 Weaving Guilds of Oregon Conference in Salem, Oregon.  What would our Guild like to do to help out with it?

National Spinning and Weaving week is October 7-13, 2019!
