Washington Federal Conference Center

Meeting:

October 11, 2017 Klamath Spinners & Weavers Guild meeting program

An introduction to innovative weaving, spinning, felting and other fiber-related pursuits (Total time 1 hour 5 minutes)

The inspiration for this presentation is the book, Innovative Weaving: A Guide for Study Groups by Mickey Stam, 2016, published by the Weavers and Spinners Society of Austin.  Since creativity inspiration seems likely to be transferable, we are expanding our topic to include weaving, spinning, felting and other fiber pursuits. The book’s focus is a structured exploration of each participant’s “creativity in order to produce original work with intentional meaning.” It actually covers activities for an organized study group to use over twelve months, though today we are just sampling some of the activities.

Karen and Kathy have an extensive, interesting and fun meeting planned with activities to expand our horizons.  Please come!
